Clare’s practice focuses on the defense of product liability matters in state and federal courts. She represents a variety of clients on both the national and local level in cases pending across the country. She has taken and defended hundreds of fact and expert witness depositions, argued dispositive, pretrial, and discovery motions, and has participated in several jury trials. In addition, Clare assists with both corporate and expert witness development and settlement strategy for her clients.

Clare is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with honors in 2000 and a Master of Arts in Classics with honors in 2001. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of Maryland School of Law where she was active in the Student Health Law Organization, served as student delegate to the Maryland Women’s Bar Association, and was recruiting co-chair for the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. Throughout law school, Clare worked as a research assistant to Professor Lawrence M. Sung and as a law clerk for Educational Affairs in the Office of the Attorney General in Baltimore. During this time, she co-authored “Piercing the Academic Veil: Madey v. Duke University and the Future of a Research Use Exemption to Patent Infringement” Journal of Health Care Law and Policy (Spring 2003).
