Eileen joined Evert Weathersby Houff in August 2001. Her practice is focused on complex asbestos and toxic tort litigation as part of the firm’s national trial and coordinating counsel team for two global engineering and construction companies. In this role, Eileen has overseen and managed the national coordination of discovery, encompassing all aspects of written discovery preparation, corporate witness development, document collection and production, and the development and implementation of discovery strategies that support the client’s general trial strategy and defense themes. Eileen has also been responsible for management of the local counsel role in California, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Utah which is best characterized as a cooperative effort between national and local counsel to develop and to implement strategies for individual cases, as well as coordination of trial resources, witness preparation, and overall case management and resolution.
From 1994 to 2001, Eileen was a civil litigator in San Francisco where her experience encompassed all phases of litigation, including trial practice and appellate work. She has provided representation and counsel to a wide array of clients in an equally broad spectrum of practice areas, which included general casualty defense, products liability, construction defect, insurance coverage and bad faith, employment, and toxic tort litigation.
